Juan in a Million

Juan in a Million is a Mexican breakfast and lunch restaurant in East Austin, open since 1980. Opened by school teachers Juan and Myrna Meza, it is still run as a family business, with the Meza son and daughter handling daily operations and media relations. The menu centers on original homemade recipes such as enchiladas, menudo and huevos rancheros, and breakfast is served all day.

The Don Juan Taco, a large tortilla filled with bacon, potatoes, eggs and cheese, is the signature item and is popular with college students. The restaurant hosts a customer contest to see who can eat the most of them in one sitting. Weekly specials are offered, and online ordering for pickup is available. Hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM most days, and the restaurant has an outdoor seating area.
