Goodwill Central Texas

Goodwill Central Texas runs thrift stores, job training and career services for adults in Central Texas. Its retail stores sell donated clothing, shoes, jewelry, accessories and household goods, and the money from those sales is reinvested in its education and job placement programs. Programs include the Excel Center adult high school, the Goodwill Technical Academy, free one-on-one career coaching, and a staffing arm called GSG Talent Solutions.

Donations of goods can be dropped off at local donation sites, and monetary gifts are also accepted. The organization serves people with disabilities, limited education, criminal backgrounds and housing instability, and its counseling and career planning are offered at no cost. Its Austin location is at Norwood Park Boulevard, and the group operates more than 35 retail stores across the region.
