Emancipet

Emancipet is a nonprofit that runs low-cost veterinary clinics for dogs and cats. Its care covers routine checkups, vaccines, microchips and flea and tick preventives, along with dental cleaning and treatment, spay and neuter surgeries, heartworm treatment for dogs, and urgent care for conditions such as pyometra and dystocia in female pets.

Spay and neuter surgeries require an appointment, and Houston and Philadelphia visits can be booked online. The Norwood Park clinic in Austin is one of several locations, which also include Houston, Pflugerville, Killeen and Philadelphia. The group also runs mobile clinics in Central Texas that see pets first come, first served, and clients who have been with Emancipet for 12 months or more can refill prescriptions online.
