Doc's Backyard

Doc's Backyard is a bar and grill in South Austin known for its beer garden, Texas craft beer on tap, and comfort food such as smoky BBQ bacon cheddar burgers, crispy shrimp tacos and buffalo chicken salad. The menu also covers wings, tacos and sandwiches, and the kitchen takes catering orders.

The patio is dog-friendly and has plenty of outdoor seating, with indoor seating and several TVs for game days. A kids' playscape sits beside the patio, and the Savannah Trail runs through the property. Live music plays on the patio most Friday nights from 7 to 10 PM, with no cover charge and no reservations. Food can be ordered for pickup or delivery, and happy hour runs every weekday from 3 to 7 PM. The bar is at 5207 Brodie Lane in Sunset Valley.
