San Luis Obispo Pinot Noir and Chardonnay

Center of Effort is an estate winery in Edna Valley, known for its Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from its own vineyard, along with Rhône-style reds and rosé. The estate traces its origins to 1978, when it was the Lawrence Family Winery, and the current owners, Bill and Cheryl Swanson, have built it into an artisan winery with a hospitality center.

Visitors can book a guided estate tasting, which walks through a flight of limited-production wines, or a seasonal five-course lunch with wine pairings. Private events are also offered, and special events are for guests 21 and over. Outside food and animals are restricted, and the winery sits in the foothills near San Luis Obispo, a short drive from the Pacific Ocean.
