Puerto El Grande Tortilla Grill serves Mexican dishes built around birria, the beef stew-style filling dipped into a lightly browned tortilla and served with a cup of its juice. Fish and shrimp tacos, asada, chicken and al pastor tacos are also on the menu, along with tortas, burritos, quesadillas, fish ceviche, nachos and cheeseburgers. A kids menu covers chicken nuggets, tacos and burgers.
Orders can be placed online or through DoorDash, and catering is available. Most weeks the grill sets up at Nova Coffee Co. in Arroyo Grande from Wednesday through Saturday, and on Sundays it moves to the Nipomo Swap Meet. Check the truck schedule before going, since the spot changes by day.
