Georges Steak House

George's Steak House is a long-running steakhouse in Appleton known for its steaks and prime rib, with seafood, chicken, veal, lamb and pork also on the menu. The restaurant has been a fixture among Fox Valley restaurants for more than 70 years and has been voted best steak in the Valley more than ten times in Fox Cities Magazine's Golden Fork Awards. Its Friday fish fry, with ten different specials and a Boston clam chowder, is a popular weekly draw.

Reservations can be made by phone, and the restaurant also books group parties and events. The last dinner seating can run until closing, so there is no rush to leave. The lounge has a piano bar and a happy hour in the late afternoon, and gift certificates are available. The restaurant is closed on Sundays.
