Sofia's Tailoring and Alterations does alterations and tailoring for men's, women's and children's clothing, including suits, dresses, shirts, jeans, coats, and leather or suede garments. The shop also handles zipper repairs and replacements, custom window treatments, and fitting work on formal wear, evening gowns and wedding dresses. Sofia, who was trained in Europe, has been doing this work since 1979, and the shop says it also does tailoring for several department stores.

No appointment is needed, since the shop works on a walk-in basis. It is open Tuesday through Friday from 10 am to 6 pm and Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm. Sofia's is at 1821 West Stadium Boulevard in Ann Arbor.
