Pretzel Bell

Pretzel Bell is a Main Street restaurant and bar in Ann Arbor that opened in 1934 and was long a campus favorite. It now serves updated comfort food and craft cocktails, with a menu that runs from house-made pretzels, crab cakes and Detroit-style pizzas to brunch dishes, a family-style porterhouse and a kids menu. Old photographs of Michigan football and university history hang on the walls.

The Down Bar, downstairs, has live music and trivia on some nights, and there are booths and private rooms for events. Brunch is served on weekends, and the downstairs bar keeps later hours on Thursday through Saturday. Happy hour runs weekdays from 4 to 6 PM. Reservations are taken, and the restaurant sits in the heart of downtown Ann Arbor near the University of Michigan campus.
