Shared workshop with metal, wood, electronics and jewelry tools3765 Plaza Drive, Ann Arbor, MI

Maker Works is a 14,000 square foot member-based workshop where small businesses, entrepreneurs, tradespeople, artists, makers and hobbyists use shared tools to build projects. Its five studio areas cover metal, electronics, wood, craft and jewelry, with hand tools, power tools and a software area, and members can take checkout classes before using the louder machines. Maker Works also offers skill classes, a CNC machine and a conference room used by local maker groups.
Membership is available by the day, month or year and includes access to all studio areas, computers, software and free Wi-Fi. Free tours are offered for anyone who stops by, and group tours can be arranged by email for businesses, students and scout troops. The workshop is in the Airport Plaza industrial park in Ann Arbor, across from Costco, and the entrance is around the corner from its colorful dust collector.
