Cardamom

Cardamom is a fresh Indian restaurant serving scratch-cooked dishes made with house-roasted spices. The menu draws on the regional diversity of India and adds Western-influenced dishes, reflecting influences from Persian, Chinese, Portuguese and British cooking. Cardamom is named for the spice, which the kitchen uses in both savory and sweet dishes. The restaurant also has a full bar with craft cocktails.

The restaurant does not take reservations, so seating is first come, first served, and parties larger than about six will need to split up. Guests waiting for a table can wait in the bar area. Carry-out orders can be placed by phone or in person during opening hours. The restaurant sits in The Courtyard Shops on Ann Arbor's north side, near the University of Michigan's North Campus, and parking is free.
