Ann Arbor Scooter Co sells electric and gas scooters from several brands, including NIU, Chicago Scooter Co., Lance, Scootstar, SYM and Wolf Brand, and handles warranty, maintenance and repair work. The shop was started after the owner, Adam, couldn't find a local dealer for scooters while looking for a way to get downtown without dealing with parking.
The shop is on Maynard Street downtown and carries helmets, locks and other accessories. Regular hours run Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday afternoons, with a shorter Saturday morning, and it is closed Wednesdays and Sundays. Visits outside those times are available by special appointment, and the shop has outdoor seating.
