AADL

AADL is the Ann Arbor District Library, a public library serving the city of Ann Arbor and parts of seven surrounding townships. Its collections go well beyond books, with magazines, music, video, audiobooks, online streaming, musical instruments, art and science tools, board games, puzzles and art prints available to check out. The library also runs events for all ages, including preschool storytimes, baby playgroups, arts and crafts, author presentations and film screenings.

Services at no charge are open to all residents in the library's service area, and anyone can attend events and visit the locations, but a library card is needed to borrow items. The library has five public locations, with the Downtown branch at 343 South Fifth Avenue in Ann Arbor, plus Malletts Creek, Pittsfield, Traverwood and Westgate branches. Each location has a dedicated kids area with books, reading spaces and iPads loaded with apps and games.
