Froberg's Farm

Froberg's Farm is a family farm in Alvin that has been run by the Froberg family since 1936. It grows strawberries, cabbage, collards, peppers, tomatoes, okra and other produce, and sells it alongside fresh eggs, honey and a bakery that makes pies, fried pies, pralines, pecan brittle and kettle corn. Visitors can pick their own strawberries from about January through late May, and the farm runs a fall festival with a corn maze and pumpkin patch in autumn.

The farm store and grounds are open every day except major holidays, with hours from 8 AM to 6 PM. Because picking depends on weather and what is ready, callers are advised to phone the store or check the farm's Facebook page before driving out. Some items are cash only, and card purchases have a $5.00 minimum. The farm sits on West Highway 6 in Alvin.
