Ladera Golf Course is a municipal course on the west side of Albuquerque, opened in 1980, with 27 holes across two tracks and an 18-hole disc golf course. The Championship tees play just under 7,200 yards, making it the longest course the city offers, and the course was once the home course of PGA legend Notah Begay III. Golf lessons are offered with PGA instructors.
The course has a bar and grill serving New Mexican cuisine, with a newly renovated patio, and it hosts weekly events such as Thirsty Thursdays with live music and food and drink specials. Tournaments run throughout the year, and the course also caters weddings and graduations. Tee times are booked by phone, and the course sits near the western edge of the city with views of the Sandia Mountains and the Volcanoes.
