Friends In Deed is a nonprofit that helps low-income individuals and families across Washtenaw County stay housed, keep their utilities on, and get essential items like beds and furniture. Its urgent help covers rent and utility assistance, transportation, and medication, while its Circles program pairs neighbors with trained volunteer allies for an 18-month path toward financial stability.

Neighbors facing a financial emergency can walk in to the office on Ecorse Road in Ypsilanti, which is open Monday through Thursday. Donated furniture and cars go to qualified local neighbors, and volunteers help with intake, furniture deliveries, the warehouse, and the Circles program.
