The Central Restaurant & Bar

The Central is a casual American restaurant serving an eclectic, internationally influenced menu of small and large shareable plates, with a focus on simple, fresh, seasonal ingredients. It opened in 2014 and is run by Kiersten Mayes and Chef John Ernst, who previously worked at Wentworth By The Sea Country Club.

There are no reservations, so seating is first come, first served, and bar seating is available. Dinner is served Wednesday through Saturday, 4 to 9 pm, and the restaurant is open year round. Parking is free and off street, and it sits close to Route 95 and Long Sands Beach in York. A sister restaurant, The Bar Next Door, is located right next door.
