NorthStar Contracting Services

NorthStar Contracting Services is a painting contractor that handles painting, refinishing and pre-finishing for homeowners, builders and businesses. The company is known for its cabinet refinishing work, and much of its spray work is done at its own shop.

NorthStar was founded in 2018 by father-and-son co-owners Steve and Stevie Leifheit, and the company describes itself as family-run. It sets timelines around proper prep and keeps to them, and it walks clients through the plan before work starts. Its owners say its prices run a little higher than many in the trade because the work takes more time and better materials. The company is based in York, Maine, and says it serves clients across New England.
