Lulu's Restaurant and Bar

Lulu's is a modern tiki bar and pan-tropical restaurant on Long Sands Beach, known for tacos al pastor cooked on a trompo, a rotating vertical grill that the restaurant says makes it the first in Maine to cook them that way. The menu runs from a raw bar with sushi, crudo and oysters to Hawaiian-style rolls, curry mains, burgers and a lobster roll made with daily-picked lobster.

The restaurant sits in The Nevada, a restored 1950s beachfront motel in York, and offers gift cards that can also be used at its sister restaurants, Stones Throw and A Little Auk. Lulu's also hosts private events such as birthdays, anniversaries and company gatherings. Many dishes can be made vegetarian, vegan or gluten free, and the menu lists those options with each item.
