The Maine Barns

The Maine Barns runs two wedding and private event properties near Portland, Walnut Hill and Flanagan Farm, both built around restored historic barns. Walnut Hill is a four-acre estate with custom gardens, a forest ceremony grove and a 19th-century barn and farmhouse, open from May through November. Flanagan Farm sits on sixty-six acres with tenting lawns, a wildflower meadow, an apple orchard and two restored barns, and it hosts a winter Supper Club series with guest chefs.

Weddings are booked as exclusive full-property wedding weekends running Thursday to Sunday, with on-site overnight accommodations for up to 12 guests at each property. Walnut Hill is in North Yarmouth and Flanagan Farm is in Buxton, both roughly twenty to twenty-five minutes from Portland. Inquiries are taken through the website.
