Helping Hands Ministries of Woodruff

Helping Hands Ministries of Woodruff is a community crisis assistance organization that offers a food pantry, a clothes closet, baby supplies and referral help for residents of the Woodruff School District 4 area. It was founded in 1991 by a group of area ministers who wanted to help neighbors needing food and help with utility bills, and it is supported by volunteers, local churches, businesses, grants and the United Way of the Piedmont.

Food is available on weekdays, with table food offered Monday through Friday and food boxes on Tuesdays and Thursdays, once every four weeks per household. The clothes closet is open Wednesdays, and financial help with utility bills, rent and certain prescriptions is offered when funds are available. The ministry is at 206 Chamblin Street in Woodruff.
