Old Homeplace Vineyard

Old Homeplace Vineyard is a working vineyard and event center on a family farm of more than 75 years, once a tobacco farm and now used for wine production. The vineyard sits between a 1200-acre lake and 48 acres of rolling pastures, and its wines have won awards. Tastings are offered in the tasting room, with a seven-wine tasting for $15 or a four-wine flight for $20 where guests keep the glass.

The tasting room is open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, with after-hours events on some Fridays. Guests may bring non-aggressive dogs on a leash and children must be supervised at all times. Outside beverages are not allowed, and coolers need management approval for private events. The property also hosts weddings in its barn, Sunday music featuring local songwriters on a lakeside deck, and private events.
