Alpine Vision

Alpine Vision is an optometry practice providing full-scope eye care for patients of all ages, from pediatric eye exams starting at age 3 to senior vision health. Its doctors handle routine exams, dry eye and disease management, specialty and hard-to-fit contact lenses, and eye emergencies, and the practice co-manages patients considering LASIK with outside surgeons. The optical shop carries designer frames from brands such as Nike, Ray-Ban, Dragon and Oakley, along with prescription eyeglasses and sunglasses.

Alpine Vision has been locally owned since 2001 and runs three offices, including this one on Main Street in Windsor. Families can book exams online, and the practice suggests calling ahead for help understanding insurance coverage, since it accepts Medicare and a number of private vision plans. For eye emergencies such as sudden vision loss or double vision, patients are told to call the office right away, and to go to the nearest emergency room if the situation is urgent.
