Hearing Aid Studio

Hearing Aid Studio is a locally owned hearing center in Wilmington that offers hearing tests, hearing aid fittings and sales, hearing aid repair and cleaning, musician earplugs and monitors, earwax removal, and tinnitus treatment. The practice is run by Dr. Terri Lightbody, a doctor of audiology with over 30 years of clinical experience, and Scot Lightbody, a licensed hearing aid specialist with more than 17 years in the field. The shop carries hearing aids from brands including Signia, Oticon, Phonak, Widex and Starkey, along with over-the-counter options.

The studio uses an unbundled pricing approach, so customers pay only for the services they need rather than having them folded into the cost of the device. Financing through healthcare credit providers with monthly payment plans is available. Same-day fittings, which combine a hearing test and fitting in one visit, can be booked online or by phone at the Kerr Avenue office in Wilmington. The practice also serves patients in Leland, Carolina Beach, Wrightsville Beach, Hampstead, Southport and nearby communities.
