Cousins Italian Deli

Cousins Italian Deli is a family-owned Italian deli and family-style restaurant on 3rd Street in downtown Wilmington. During the day it runs as a deli with an extensive selection of traditional Italian sandwiches, each named after parts of Sicily and Italy, plus daily specials. On weekends the space becomes a cozy family-style dinner restaurant run by husband and wife Joe and Debby DeLiberto, whose recipes have been passed down through their family.

Dinner service is by call-ahead reservation only, and guests can bring their own wine or beer. The deli runs weekday lunches, and the restaurant also hosts private events and a Sicilian dinner series. The restaurant has been on 3rd Street since 2012, when the DeLiberto family moved the business from Paterson, New Jersey.
