Bellefonte Arts is a collective of local artists that sells handcrafted artwork and crafts in an artist-run shop and teaches art classes for ages 14 and up. The shop has been around since 2011 and houses over 40 artists who sell their work year round. Its best-known event is the annual Bellefonte Arts Festival, founded in 2009 as an outdoor street festival that celebrates visual, performance and culinary arts.
The shop is on Brandywine Boulevard in the village of Bellefonte, Delaware, and is open Thursday through Sunday with shorter hours on Fridays and Sunday. Most fall classes are one-day workshops, with a few running two sessions. Monthly art exhibits are held at the shop, and gift cards are available online.
