Multi-use trails for mountain biking, skiing and snowshoeingWilliston, VT

Catamount Outdoor Family Center is a nonprofit that manages a multi-use trail network of about 25 miles on the Catamount Community Forest in Williston, Vermont. The trails are used for mountain biking, trail running, fat biking, snowshoeing, cross country skiing and hiking, and the center also runs races, clinics, programs and summer camps. Catamount began in 1978 as a cross country ski area on the McCullough family's historic homestead farm.
Hiking, walking, trail running, snowshoeing and sledding are free on the trails, while biking and skiing require a membership, which can be bought by the year, season or day, online or at the Hub. Visitors are asked to sign a waiver once per calendar year, sign in on each visit and stop by the Guest Services and Rental Hub. Dogs and other pets are not permitted on the forest. The land is owned by the Town of Williston, and the center operates there under a license from the town.
