The story

Flavors of Portugal Cafe is a Portuguese cafe serving Portuguese coffee, fresh pastries and breads, and sandwiches. Its best-known item is the Pastel de Nata, and the chocolate croissant and chocolate rolls are also popular. The cafe is run by Ana Benedito, who opened it to share her Portuguese heritage with neighbors.

The cafe is open weekdays from 8:00am to 4:00pm, with Monday and Tuesday closed. Pastries and breads can be pre-ordered for birthdays and events with three days' notice, and the cafe takes bookings for private events and gatherings. It is located on U.S. 22 West in Whitehouse Station, NJ, and customers can come in to work, meet, or stop by for a coffee and a custard tart.
