The story

Pekadill's is a family-run sandwich shop and deli in Whitehall, known for its deli-style sandwiches, croissants, wraps and made-to-order salads. Fan favorites include the French Dip, the Sueben and the chicken salad croissant, and the menu has more than 40 sandwiches. Soups rotate by day of the week, and there is a homemade ice cream parlor serving Hudsonville and Ashby's ice cream.

The restaurant has been family owned since it opened in 1983, and the current owners have run it since 1989. Dine-in and carry-out are both available, with lunch service Monday through Saturday from 11 to 2:30. In summer, the restaurant grills BBQ ribs and chicken on Friday and Saturday evenings, and the large garden welcomes dogs on a leash.
