GEM Chimney & Duct

GEM Chimney & Duct handles chimney sweeping, cleaning, liner replacement, crown and flashing repair, tuckpointing, and dryer vent and air duct cleaning. The company says it is locally owned and based in Wheeling, and it has been operating for more than 10 years.

A $69 service visit includes an on-site inspection and written report, and the fee is credited toward approved work. Cleaning, repairs, parts and labor are not included in the visit fee, and the technician gives an upfront quote before any work starts. Gas fireplace inspection and repair are also offered. Service covers Wheeling and surrounding Cook and Lake County communities, and the company advises calling 911 first for a suspected gas leak or carbon monoxide alarm.
