First Step Foot Care

First Step Foot Care is a podiatry practice focused on foot and ankle problems, from sports injuries and arthritis to diabetic foot care and reconstructive surgery. Its physicians treat bunions, hammertoes, heel pain, Achilles tendinopathy and warts, and offer in-office MLS laser therapy, EPAT shockwave therapy and MRI imaging.

The practice was founded in 1991 by Dr. James P. Flood, a former Army podiatric surgeon, and it cares for both adults and children. Virtual appointments are available by video on a tablet or smartphone. The office is on West Rand Road in Arlington Heights, and several of the physicians also work at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights.
