Dorfler's Meat Market

Dorfler's Meat Market is a butcher shop that sells beef, veal, lamb, pork, poultry, and fish and seafood, with a deli and sandwich trays for catering. The master butchers hang whole cattle, known as swinging beef, and fresh cut and hand trim cuts in the store, which the shop says sets its meat apart from chain grocers. Customers can also find homemade jerky and Snake River Farms Wagyu.

The market has been open since 1978 and invites customers to ask the butchers for recipe ideas and cooking tips. Shoppers can sign up for the email list for $5 off an in-store purchase of $40 or more. Dorfler's delivers, and pricing is available by phone. The shop is at 1182 McHenry Road in Buffalo Grove.
