Building Security Services

Building Security Services, also called BSS, is a security company founded in 1982 that provides guards, patrols, and security systems for commercial, residential, and industrial properties. Its core work is staffing trained, licensed armed and unarmed security officers, along with concierge and doormen, site patrols, and fire life safety directors. The company also installs and manages access control, video surveillance, intercom, and intrusion alarm systems.

Property managers make up much of its client base, and the company says it serves clients across New Jersey and New York. Its New Jersey headquarters is in South Orange, and it offers free quotes and custom security plans for each building or site. Emergency coverage is part of the service, according to clients who have used it.
