Congdon's Doughnuts

Congdon's Doughnuts is a family restaurant and bakery in Wells, Maine, known for its doughnuts, which the family has made since the 1940s. The menu also includes breakfast burritos, breakfast sandwiches, honey dip french toast, bowls and lunch items served café style, with guests ordering at the counter and seating themselves. Fried seafood and grill items were part of the menu in earlier years.

The shop is on Route One in Wells and has a drive-through. Doughnuts can be reserved ahead through the online ordering page, with orders due by 5 PM the day before pickup. Next door, Congdon's After Dark is a food truck park that runs through the summer, with picnic tables, a full bar and live entertainment. Congdon's Rewards is free to join and earns points toward food and merchandise.
