Liuna International

LIUNA, the Laborers' International Union of North America, is a union of about half a million workers in the United States and Canada, working mainly in construction and energy. Members build roads, bridges, transit, schools and skyscrapers, and they also install rainwater catchment systems and build water and sewer systems.

The union also represents more than 70,000 public employees in health care, sanitation, road maintenance and emergency response, and it is affiliated with the National Postal Mail Handlers Union. Members elect their officers at every level and run the local unions day to day. Its headquarters is on 16th Street Northwest in Washington, D.C.
