Goldsmith

Goldsmith makes custom jewelry, from engagement rings and wedding bands to necklaces, bracelets and earrings, and all of the work is done on the premises. The shop also handles remounts and redesigns that give older stones new settings, stone setting, ring resizing and new shanks, and pearl restringing. Watch overhauls and battery changes are offered for brands such as Rolex, Cartier, Omega, Bulova and Tissot.

Custom pieces start with a consultation, followed by design sketches and material selection before the piece is cast and finished. Jewelry appraisals for insurance, estate planning or resale are available, and the shop buys gold. Laser engraving and laser welding are offered for repairs and personalization. The shop is on Contra Costa Boulevard in Pleasant Hill.
