Diablo Escapes

Diablo Escapes runs virtual reality escape rooms, where teams put on headsets and solve puzzles inside themed worlds. Its lineup includes Runaway Train, a steampunk Old West adventure, Depths of Osiris, which sends divers after treasure, Space Station Tiberia, and Alien Abduction, along with newer rooms such as Cyberscape and Time Travel Paradox. Groups can also add a Hospital of Horror scare to any room.

The business hosts birthday parties, group events and team-building sessions. It is at 1948 Mount Diablo Blvd. in Walnut Creek and serves visitors from Concord, Berkeley, Oakland and San Ramon. Booking is online, and the business has offered late-night openings for last-minute requests.
