Wonderstate Coffee roasts organic coffee in Viroqua, Wisconsin, and sells it as whole bean coffee and subscriptions, along with brewing gear, apparel and drinkware. The company also runs cafés, including one on Capitol Square in Madison, where the menu leans on seasonal dishes made with local, organic ingredients.

Gift cards and online ordering are available. Featured work at the Madison café comes from artists in Viroqua, including custom woodwork by Karlstad Woodwork. Wonderstate says its café staff are covered by a benefits program, which it describes as uncommon in the industry.
