Armel Carpet

Armel Carpet is a family-owned carpet workroom that makes custom rugs and carpets, and handles repair, binding, serging and rug cleaning. Founded in 1970 by Arlene and Mel Losick, it is known for custom rugs, rug resizing and fabric borders, and it also installs custom stair runners and window blinds and shades.

The showroom at 125 Pennsylvania Avenue in Virginia Beach is open Monday through Friday during the day. The business also makes custom marine carpets for yachts and motorcoaches, and the second generation of the family, Heath Losick, has done custom installations beyond the local area.
