Spencer Makenzie's Fish Company

Spencer Makenzie's is a family-owned seafood restaurant best known for its grilled and tempura fish tacos, which have been voted best fish taco by the VC Reporter for 16 years straight. The menu also includes a grilled fish and shrimp burrito, clam chowder, salads and a line of house hot sauces, with Spencer Sauce as the signature blend.

The restaurant has a Monday through Thursday 2-for-1 fish taco happy hour from 3 to 5 PM, and it offers online ordering and gift cards. Locations are on East Thompson Boulevard in Ventura and Carmen Drive in Camarillo. The restaurant also runs The Throw Down, a multi-day cornhole festival in Ventura each August.
