The Happy Heart Haven

The Happy Heart Haven is a nonprofit animal sanctuary on a ranch in Valley Center, home to more than 30 rescued animals. Visitors can take farm tours that include cow cuddling, meeting the animals and a pumpkin hunt, with private and group experiences on offer. The sanctuary was started by Cristi Walker as a place of healing and connection, and its founder's own experience with a heart condition and a bovine valve shapes the visit.

Tours run by appointment, with the schedule currently listed as Friday through Sunday. Options include open farm field trips, birthday parties and bachelorette parties. Gift cards and a small shop are available, and donations support the animals. The ranch is at 30398 Via Valencia.
