Upcycle Technology Foundation

Upcycle Technology Foundation is a nonprofit electronic recycler that takes in used computers, laptops, monitors and other electronics from households, small and medium businesses, larger companies and other nonprofits. Donated equipment is either refurbished for resale or broken down for recycling, with data destruction handled at each step using DBAN-3 wiping, physical destruction or both. Working units are tested, repaired, reformatted and cosmetically improved before going back out to buyers at affordable prices.

The group says it is one of only a few nonprofit electronics recyclers in Oklahoma and that its revenue from resale supports its operating costs and its job training and economic development work. Pickups for businesses can be scheduled through the website, and the organization serves Northeastern Oklahoma. Its office is on South Mingo Road in Tulsa.
