Renaissance Fencing Club

Renaissance Fencing Club is a nonprofit fencing club founded in 1996 that teaches foil, sabre and epee to members ranging from young beginners to competitive fencers. The club has more than 200 members, and its students have competed at national, international and world cadet and junior events, with a 2024 cadet world championship team drawn from its own program.

New fencers start with an introductory package of three one-on-one private lessons of 30 minutes each, plus a trial group class, before moving into group classes. Summer camps are offered, and the club's coaches include former Olympians. The club is at 185 East Elmwood in Troy, and its weeknight and Saturday schedule runs through the early evening and afternoon.
