El Charro

El Charro serves Mexican food built on recipes from the founding family and is known for the Puffy Taco. Delia Martin and her husband George started the business in 1971, taking over a small eight-table restaurant in Fraser before demand for the Puffy Taco led to a larger space. Today the family runs three restaurants, and the menus still include original recipes from Delia's parents.

Pickup orders can be placed online by choosing a location. Catering is available, and an e-club mailing list shares news and member-only offers. Delia's children and grandchildren work in the restaurants, with Lynn and Jeff Martin overseeing daily operations, and Jeff spends most days at the Fraser location.
