Wild Hare Gallery

Wild Hare Gallery is a boutique art gallery in Travelers Rest, SC, focused on modern, local arts and fine crafts. Owners Kym Easter and Joann Benzinger are both artists, and the gallery represents nine local artists and craftsmen. Guest artists exhibit for three to six months at a time, so the work on the walls keeps changing. Easter is known for oil and acrylic paintings of animals and nature, along with abstract resin pieces, while Benzinger works in photography and prints on a variety of surfaces.

The gallery is open Tuesday through Friday, 11:00 to 4:00, and visitors can arrange an appointment outside those hours by phone. Artists can apply now for guest spots in the spring and summer months. Both owners teach classes at the gallery and elsewhere, and Benzinger offers private lessons in photography and editing software. The gallery sits on North Poinsett Highway along the town's proposed Arts Corridor, and the owners paint the mural panels used for the Travelers Rest Art Crawl.
