Neighborhood Health Association

Neighborhood Health Association runs a network of community health centers in Toledo. Its Nexus Health Care medical center, a 43,000-square-foot building that opened in October 2016, offers adult primary care, pediatrics, OB/GYN, midwifery, adult and pediatric dental care, cardiology in partnership with the University of Toledo College of Medicine, and podiatry. Behavioral health, pharmacy services, laboratory work, immunizations, HIV testing and sickle cell detection are also available there.

Most insurance is accepted, including Medicaid and Medicare, and a sliding fee scale is available for people who are underinsured or uninsured. No one is turned away for inability to pay. Patients with lab orders from outside health systems can often have that work done on site. The building has an on-site café called Nourish Café, parking is available in the lot across 14th Street, and it is near bus lines. An after-hours nurse triage line covers calls outside clinic hours, and emergencies should go to 911.
