Half Moon Kennels

Half Moon Kennels is a locally owned dog boarding and daycare facility that has operated since 2012. Dogs spend the day in supervised play groups, with more than three acres of fenced outdoor yards that include grass, cement and artificial turf areas, plus agility ramps and tunnels. Overnight and long-term boarding are also available.

Dogs need to be spayed or neutered if six months or older and up to date on distemper/parvo, rabies and Bordetella vaccines. Daycare is $24 and overnight boarding is $40, with 10% discounts for multiple dogs or stays of six nights or more. Enrollment can be started online. The kennel sits about four miles west of Coral Ridge Mall in Tiffin, just off Highway 6, and serves Iowa City and Johnson County. Midday from noon to 3 PM is quiet time for the dogs.
