The Villages

The Villages is a 55-and-over community with a wide range of recreation, from more than 3,000 organized activities a week to fishing lakes, waterfront parks and fitness trails. Golf is a major draw, including the 27-hole Hacienda Hills Championship Golf Course, which has bunkers on every hole and water features on fourteen of them. Free golf on the executive courses is part of the monthly amenity fee.

The amenity fee, listed at $189 a month, covers the recreation facilities, including swimming, tennis, pickleball and bocce, along with 24-hour community watch service. Rent and utilities are billed separately. Several sales and information centers are open seven days a week for visitors who want to tour the community before deciding whether to move there.
