The Carpet Store

The Carpet Store sells carpet, carpet tile, hardwood, laminate, tile, luxury vinyl, waterproof flooring and glass tile from large warehouse-style showrooms. The family business was founded in St. Petersburg in 1988 by J. D. Manning, and his children and grandchildren still run it. It keeps prices low by holding a large in-stock inventory, buying direct from manufacturers and importing its own ceramic and porcelain tile.

Shoppers can browse the catalog online and order free samples, or request a free in-home measurement and estimate with a project specialist. Installation is offered for tile and laminate, among other floors, and financing is available for larger projects. There are three showrooms, in Tampa, St. Petersburg and New Port Richey, and the Tampa store is on West Hillsborough Avenue.
