Gilk

Gilk is a Tampa design-build studio founded in 2015 that designs, builds and renovates high-end custom homes, mostly in South Tampa. Its work includes new construction, whole-house renovations, additions and commercial fit-outs, including the Michelin-starred Rocca restaurant in Tampa Heights. The firm has its own architecture and design team and takes on only a few projects at a time.

Gilk works in two contracts: pre-construction is a separate hourly engagement, and the construction agreement is cost-plus with an open book, with a written approval for every decision that costs money. Owners can also hire Gilk only for owner's representation to review a builder's or architect's numbers. The company is licensed as a Florida general contractor and also works in Colorado, where it built a mountain home in Evergreen. The office is at 3715 E 7th Ave in Tampa.
